A performing arts competition is really several competitions sharing a venue. A vocal section needs an accompanist and a running order; an instrumental section needs an interval long enough to move a piano; a speech section needs a completely different set of judging criteria. The timetable has to hold all of it together.
Comp World treats each section as its own thing — its own entry type, age limits, duration, fee and scoring criteria — and then schedules them into one day that recalculates whenever something moves.

Questions
How much does Comp World cost?
A once-off $99 NZD (excl. GST) per competition. There is no subscription and no ongoing fee, and you keep 100% of your spectator ticket sales. A small service fee is added to each competitor's registration and to each spectator ticket, and is paid by the buyer — not by you.
Which disciplines does Comp World handle?
Dance, singing, music, speech and drama — in one competition or separately. Each section defines its own entry type, age limits, duration, entry fee and scoring criteria, so a vocal section and a hip hop section can sit in the same programme without sharing a score sheet.
Can judges give written and spoken feedback?
Yes. Alongside criteria scores, judges can write comments and record spoken feedback from their own device. Both are delivered to the performer in the app with their results, which for many festivals is the part entrants value most.
How do sections with different judging criteria work?
Criteria and their weightings are set per section, so a speech section is judged on its own terms rather than on a borrowed sheet. Placements are calculated from the criteria that section actually uses.
Can we run several rooms at once?
Yes. Sections are scheduled across days and venues, and each on-the-day tool opens on the section it is responsible for — so the operator in one room only ever sees that room’s running order.
What happens if the venue internet drops?
Every competitor’s music is pre-downloaded to the playback device before the session starts, so the music keeps playing even if the venue Wi-Fi goes down. The live tools reconnect and resync automatically once you are back online.
How do results get published?
Results stay private until you release them, then appear immediately in every entrant’s app along with their report sheet. You choose whether to release section by section as the day goes, or all at once at the end.
